Melanie is a Balanced Body Comprehensive Certified Pilates Instructor and completed her training at Studio B Pilates in Stevens Point, WI under the guidance of Amy Beversdorf in April of 2015.
Melanie grew up in Missouri and competed in gymnastics during her youth. She attended the University of Missouri – Rolla (now Missouri S&T) and received a Bachelor of Science in Metallurgical Engineering. She worked as an engineer until 2011 and started her Pilates Teacher Training in 2012 while recovering from a foot injury.
Melanie started Pilates in 2000 and fell in love with it immediately, although did not start a regular practice until 2005. After receiving her certification in 2015, she opened her home pilates studio, MG Pilatez, LLC in the basement of her home. She offers Private sessions, Duet or Semi-Private sessions, and small group Bodhi/TRX sessions. She can offer small group mat, MOTR, or Barre.
Melanie continues her personal practice and continuing education of pilates as well as attending Balanced Body Pilates On Tour workshops around the country. Melanie loves to vist and train at other Pilates studios in various cities when she travels with her husband Ben. She is very passionate about Pilates and how it helps you in everyday life. She loves to share this passion with teaching people how to move and live a better life with Pilates!

Melanie loves sports especially football, baseball, and hockey. She attends many games during the year for Green Bay Packers, St. Louis Cardinals, and St. Louis Blues.

Ben Gonia is Co-Owner with Wife Melanie of MG Pilatez studio. Ben works full time as a Technology Consultant, supporting studio operation on the weekends.
